John CHRISTMAS (1717-1784) married Mary GRAVES(1726-1810) Their children were John Jr. (1743-1777) married Ann DUKE; Thomas CHRISTMAS (1744-1810) he married Sarah DUKE; Mary CHRISTMAS (1745-) married William G.GREEN; Ann P. CHRISTMAS (1750-1824) married Nathaniel McLEMORE; Richard CHRISTMAS (1752-1833) married Mrs. Ann BUTLER (ARMSTRONG); William CHRISTMAS (1754-1811) married Abigail MCLEMORE; Henreitta CHRISTMAS(1755-) married Capt. John POWER; Nathaniel CHRISTMAS (about 1760-after 1729) married Mary McLEMORE;Robert CHRISTMAS married Maria F. GILBERT; James CHRISTMAS (1768-) married Elizabeth COURTNEY; and Charles CHRISTMAS a prominate Doctor in the area. I am interested in these people and the allied families as well.

CAPPS, FAVRI posted by Lori Hunter on Friday, November 21, 1997: FAVRI/CAPPS I am researching descendants of Emil and Sudie CAPPS FAVRI who were married in Warren County on 19 Jan 1890 and lived in Ridgeway. Their children were Elizabeth Eva (b 12-25-1891), John Freidrich (b 1-5-1893), Jacob Robert (b 3-10-1895), Henry (3-13-1897), and Margaret Sophia (9-15-1899). Emil abandoned the family in the early 1900's but was seen in Ridgeway around 1913. Would like to know what happened to the members of this family including when and where Emil and Susan died. On the 1850 Louisiana Census it lists him and wife Sarah and 2 daughters being from Georgia. Daughters were Mary Jane born December 1844 and Catharine born probably 1846. His birth robably 1823. Warren, Halifax, and Bertie counties had the largest proportion of HAWKINS surnames in the 1790 through 1820 Federal census of NC and I am attempting to link my Hawkins line from Mecklenburg Co NC to this area. My earliest ancestor is James W. Hawkins, b. NC ca. 1800 and his wife Mary b. NC ca. 1806, both probably died in Charlotte after 1870. Please get in touch if you can help. They had eight children before William died before 1880: SALLIE (1864), HARDY ('67), HETTIE B. ('69), WALTER ('70), GERTRUDE ('71), WILLIAM C. ('73), JOHN W. ('75), and EMMETT H. ('77). In 1880, they lived at 586 Garnett Street. I would appreciate any help with descendants or with information about this HARRIS family in general.

He had children Winifred, Alsey, Mary, Allen and Benjamin that I know of. I especially need to know if he had any more children and also the children of Allen who died in Warren Co. and Benjamin who was in Washington Co. Ga. in 1803. My ancestor was Elizabeth HARRIS who married John MATHEWS in Ga. about 1810 and her sister was Winnifred Harris WOOD b. 1789 husband Martin WOOD of Twiggs and Early Co. Ga. , and their brother Benjamin b. 1782 of Twiggs Co. Ga. and half brother SamueL PASSMORE of Twiggs Co. All born in N.C. . The names Amos and Allen are common in this family. Any help appreciated.
