My ancestor, George BETTY, lived for more than 50 years in Warren County in the Halifax District. He died in Warren County in 1809. But I would like to find where he came from. I assume he was Scotch-Irish. Just where did most of the Scotch-Irish who were in Warren County come from? Did they arrive as a group? I need to brush up on my county history?

Wish to contact descendants of JOHN WILLIAMS DANIEL who lived in Granville Co., but his will was in Warren Co., NC. His will named daughters Martha VAUGHAN, Mary STAMPER, step-children Johnathan GRAVES and his sister Frances TRICE and an older son Zadoc who was by an unknown first wife.Martha Daniel Vaughan was married to Vincent VAUGHAN, and Mary Daniel Stamper was married to William STAMPER. I understand that Zadoc Daniel married an Elizabeth LEWIS. The main reason for getting in touch with descendants is to determine the identity of Mary Daniel, the mother of Martha Vaughan. Arlina

My mother was born in Norlina, NC, in 1907. Her father was William CURTIS whose residence was on the border between NC and VA in Warren County. I have traced my father's family back for 13 generations, but I have been unable to get anywhere with my mother's family, the Curtis's. I am looking for records in the 1850 - 1900 date range.

I am searching for the descendants of the above referenced surnames. I am looking for the parents of William Falkener LAMKIN of Warren County. His lands included the present St. Singh farm, the school bus lot, and the Shiloh Baptist Institute. His wife was Mary JONES. I am looking for a marriage record for them. It would have to be in the mid 1810's. Also looking for the descendants of their daughter Lucy Elizabeth Hudgins LAMKIN who married Matthew RIGGAN. He died during the War Between the States. They had children, Jospeh W. LAMKIN and Theodosia. Theodosia (Dosia) married a THOMPSON. We lose track of them after 1900. Also looking for the parents of my third great-grandfather, Richard RIGGAN. He married W. F. Lamkin's daughter, Margaret Frances Obedient Lamkin, and was likely the brother of Matthew Riggan. Thank you.
