GADDY, Thomas and wife Lucy sold farm in Halifax County in 1763 and unable to locate until they purchased land in 1786 in Edgecombe County. They had children in 1763 and Thomas is my ancestor. I am new to this web site and would appreciate your help. I am searching for descendents of Asa P. HARRIS, born 1807 in the Fishing Creek Township of Granville, County, NC. He was married to Mary K. BLACKLEY, born 1809 in the same area. They were married on December 15, 1832. Their children were: Alexander "Sandy" HARRIS, my ggrandfather and his twin sister, Milchisa HARRIS born 1834. Also to this union were born Mary Harris in 1837 and Wesley HARRIS born about 1850. Alexander married first Mary K. WEAVER on December 20, 1857 and they had five children: Julia, Charles, Wesley, Lewis and Albert. After Mary died, Alexander married Lucy Ann GARRETT, born 1852 in Kittrell Township, Granville Co., NC. Alexander and Lucy had these children: Henry, James (my grandfather), Lonnie, Sarah, Fannie Harris HIGHT, Annie Harris HOLMES and Ollie Augusta HARRIS. There was a Lewis HARRIS born 1879 that may have been a child of Julia rather than Lucy and Alexander. I am especially interested in finding who Asa P. Harrises parents were. It has been said they could have come from Warren Co. NC. If anyone sees anything here of similiarity, please let me know. I am looking for any information regarding the TWISDALE family in Nutbush township in Warren County NC. I do know that lived in that area per. "Warren County Will Abstracts" 1845-1902. James H. TWISDALE wrote will April 6,1865. Probated Nov. 1898 Wife Eliza, son John R., Alexander Green TWISDALE, James H. TWISDALE Jr. and two daughters Beck and Indiana. My Great Great Great Great Grandfather was James Sr. I would like to know who his father was or any other information regarding this man and this line of TWISDALES'. James Jr. fought in 1rst Jr. Reserves Co. A. as a corporal. He is my G,G,G, Grandfather. Alexander G. fouth NC 43rd inf. Co. G. These men survived the Civil War. Any help would be appreciated. I believe that my 2nd Great Grandfather was Wyatt or Wiatt WILLIAMS b. ca 1807 in NC. and was married on 14 Feb. 1847 Surry Co NC to Sarah ABSHER b. ca 1820. I am looking for information on the LANKFORD or LANGFORD family. My ggm was Annie Lee Langford , born July 1872 in Halifax Co. Her parents were William LANGFORD and Ann PAYNE. The 1870 census has them living in Township #1 of Warren Co. One or both of them was Mulatto according to the census. Their children were :

Annie b. 1872
