CENTER, COLCOUGH posted by Acorn COTT on Monday, April 6, 1998

I am looking for information on Buckner CENTER and Freeman CENTER. Buckner died about 1804, as given in the Warren Co Court minutes, and Freeman is given up to 1805 in that county. Freeman went to Sumner Co Tn sometime before 1811. I have Freeman in the Warren Co 1800 census, but not Buckner, and neither of them in 1790, census. Freeman married Betsy COLCOUGH, as mentioned in the 1803 will abstract of John COLCOUGH, and in the May 1804 court minutes of the estate sale of John COLCOUGH

TURNER posted by Vernon Drewa on Monday, April 6, 1998

I have a complete write up on Charles G. TURNER after he departed Warren County, his family and probablity the most outstanding member of his family; Stephen Williamson Turner, who served in the Civil War, was captured, exchanged and then fought again in Texas. Which he moved his parents from Virginia. C.G. however, moved his family from Warren County to Mechlenburg, Virginia sometime prior to 1855. Information prior to that time is missing, unless your Historical Group or Genealogy Society has any info.

Has anyone sorted out the WILLISES in the late 1700s and early 1800s in above counties? Specifically, Augustine, Lewis and John Austin formerly of Virginia? Also Elias, Plummer, Sherwood (Sherod) and Levi? I am searching for parents, siblings of William Austin WILLIS, b 1808 N.C. Wife, Sarah, born 1811, N.C. Four eldest children born in Georgia between 1835-1842. Their names: William Ciciero, Henry Thomas, Eli Samuel and Elizabeth A. BOURDEN, BOWDEN, HOLDER posted by Robert O. Haack, Sr on Monday, April 6, 1998

Searching for information on Nicholas BOURDEN/BOWDEN II, s/o Nicholas I. This Nicholas II was born in 1762, married Elizabeth HOLDER. They had the following children: Baker, Mary, Samuel, Reading, Bryan and James. It is possible that I am a descendant of Reading Bourden. From the census, it appears that Reading had two sons and a daughter by 1810. One son was named Reading (Reddin) born in 1796, but I cannot find the name or any information on the other son. Can you help??? I certainly hope you can. His name may have been William, born in 1802. Any and all information on who the sons were, the name of the mother, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
